Three things give out before your legs and back do. The bundle deals with all three.

Grip

The bar starts rolling out of your fingers. Your back could do another rep. Your hands can't hold it.

Padded straps take your grip out of it, so the set ends when your back and legs are done.

Brace

You take a big breath, push your stomach out, and there's nothing there to push against.

A 10 cm wide, ~13 mm thick belt gives you a stiff wall to brace into, all the way round.

Lever lifting belt

A wall to brace against

The job: Gives your midsection something solid to push into when you brace on squats, deadlifts and heavy presses.
How: A rigid 10 cm wide, ~13 mm thick band that doesn't fold when you push out. The lever closes in one move and opens just as fast between sets, at the same tightness every time, so there's no fiddling with prongs. Get the size right first with the size finder.
Use it: Your heavier working sets on squats, deadlifts and overhead or bench work where you brace hard.
Skip it: Warm-ups, lighter accessory work and anything where you're not bracing hard. Take it off between sets.

Hard Pull Grip Straps

Your hands stop being the limit

The job: Hold the bar for you on pulls, so your back and legs decide when the set's over, not your fingers.
How: The strap loops round your wrist and wraps the bar, so the bar hangs off the strap instead of just your grip. A padded section sits on the wrist so it's comfier on long sets. MKAS patch on the cuff.
Use it: Heavy deadlifts, RDLs, rows, shrugs and pulldowns, once your grip's going before the target muscle.
Skip it: Warm-ups and lighter pulls: do those strap-free so your grip keeps up. Most powerlifting federations don't allow straps in competition.

How to wrap your straps

Loop on
Slide your hand through the loop, padding on the back of your wrist, tail running along your palm toward your thumb.
Under and over
Feed the tail under the bar, away from you, then back over the top toward you.
Roll it tight
Roll the bar toward you to wind the strap snug, then grip over the top. Do one hand, then the other.
